AmCham Board assessment of the Covid-19 crisis - August 2020

AmCham Board's August assessment of the Covid-19 crisis has three key points.

One, companies should develop a prudent business plan based on vaccines being globally distributed in the second half of 2021 or beyond, but be ready to shift quickly if one comes sooner.

Two, the "reckoning" months for the Czech economy will be October and November. Unemployment in Prague is a key indicator to watch.

Three, how the government and business utilize the European recovery funds will determine the rate of recovery and whether the country will exit the pandemic a step ahead or step behind its rivals.
