28 January celebrates European Data Protection Day. " On this day, citizens and businesses are waiting for the modernisation of data protection rules to catch up with the digital age. After the European Parliament backed the Commission's proposal in March 2014, the Council has made considerable progress and the reform should be finalised by the end of this year.
