AmCham, AFI, Czech Innovation and the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic are proud to announce the winners of the Best Cooperation of the Year Award 2014. The awards ceremony took place on November 5 at ZOOM Unique Place at Prague Congress Centre. A total of 22 projects from 7 universities, 8 research institutions and 28 private companies were submitted for the main prize - check for CZK 100 000. The high level of participation proved that companies are increasingly interested and engaged in the potential of academia developing innovative technologies that can be translated by business into real-world solutions.

Best Cooperation of the Year 2014 Jury: Martin Bunček (Technology Agency Czech Republic), Jaroslav Doležal (Honeywell), Vít Kavan (Ministry of Education), Jiří Krechl (CzechInvest), Vladimír Mařík (Certicon), Marian Piecha and Dagmar Vránová (Ministry of Trade and Industry), Zbyněk Pardubský (Huawei), Jan Slovák (Masaryk University) and Jan Všianský (Investment group 42angels).
The grand prize of Best Cooperation of the Year 2014 was awarded by the evaluating jury to ČVUT Prague and Kuličkové šrouby Kuřim for their project "Motional Screwing Mechanism". Second prize went to Loschmidt laboratories, Institute of Experimental Biology and Masaryk University Faculty of Science cooperating with companies Photon Systems Instruments and Enantis for their project "Biosensor for monitoring of toxic substances in the environment". Third prize was awarded to the Veterinary Research Institute for their project "Recombinant lyme borrelia disease vaccine" in cooperation with Bioveta.
