AmCham Thanksgiving Ball raised CZK 455.603,- to fund One World, Many Voices program

On Saturday, November 23, AmCham organized its traditional Thanksgiving Ball for its members and their clients in Žofín Palace. The evening was in the spirit of social responsibility. Thanks to the ball´s attendees CZK 215.603,- was raised during Silent Auction. Together with CZK 240.000,- donated by members when purchasing corporate tables it´s CZK 455.603,- for AmCham One World, Many Voices program.

Money will be granted to elementary and high schools competing with their projects that develop community involvement by improving community life through active co-operation of local schools, businesses and government.

Active participation in our communities is not only beneficial for our society, but also helps building trust among people, which is crucial for every democracy.

One World, Man y Voices is an AmCham program supporting long term development of the Czech Republic. Beginning in 2003, the program was oriented on supporting language education at Czech schools. In 2012, the program´s aim expanded to supporting school projects that develop community involvement by improving community life through active co-operation of local schools, businesses and government.
