One World, Many Voices - Grant Competition Opening
AmCham continues in its philanthropic project One World, Many Voices already for 9 years. Newly from 2012, AmCham would like to support community involvement, boost communication skills in English language and foster application of theoretical knowledge in practice by a project realization. AmCham opens a competition for grants for community projects. Classes of public basic schools and public high schools in the Czech Republic can submit their project proposals. Submitted projects have to be beneficial for wider community (not only the class), it has to involve also the school, the public/local community and a local government organization. Project grants will be awarded in the range CZK 10.000-100.000 for a project and total amount that can be awarded is more than CZK 500.000. Deadline for submitting a project proposal is November 30, 2012.

Project One World, Many Voices is financed from contributions of AmCham members at the occasion of the annual Thanksgiving Ball. By holding the Silent Auction at the Ball, AmCham raises about half of the contributions. The other half is added by contributions from members, who purchased their corporate table at the Ball.
