Preparation of Act on Lobbying cancelled

The Government agreed to stop preparation of Act on Lobbying on Wednesday January 15. The main reason of cancellation is a dispute what the Act should include and how to cover the topic. Instead of the Act other measuremnets should be implemented: Changes the proceeding rules of the Chamber of Deputies, definition of lobbying in commercial register as a legal activity, transparent public access to electronic system of prepared legislation, mandatory assessment of corruption risks in creating of a new law and Code of conduct for parlamentarians and senators for contact with lobbyists.
