Minimal Amendment to Public Procurement Act

The Regional Development Ministry has prepared a minimal amendment to the Public Procurement Act to fulfill the obligations regarding transposition of 2007/66/ES Directive aiming at strengthening of the Antimonopoly Office supervisory role. Date due for transposition is January 1, 2010. Draft amendment will be debated on the session of the Government next week.

Earlier extensive draft amendment, drafted with the AmCham's participation,  was submitted to the Chamber of Deputies as the print No. 833. Additionally to mandatory directive implementation, the draft proposes a number of other changes but will likely not be approved before the October elections. Moreover, the Concession Act will have to be amended.
