Almost CZK 470.000,- for AmCham One World, Many Voices project to help equip Pilsen´s elementary schools

On Saturday, November 20th, The American Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic (AmCham) held its 2010 Thanksgiving Ball at Palác Žofín. The 2010 Thanksgiving Ball served as host to a Silent Auction which collected CZK 263.866,- to benefit AmCham’s Corporate Social Responsibility project, “One World, Many Voices”. Coupled with the funds raised through corporate table sales of over CZK 200.000,-, the 2010 Thanksgiving Ball raised almost CZK 470.000,- for the “One World, Many Voices” project.

Since its inception in 2003, the proceeds raised annually are used to provide Czech schools with technologically advanced language laboratories to assist students in learning new languages. The proceeds raised at the 2010 Thanksgiving Ball will be donated to schools in the Plzeň region of the Czech Republic. Since 2003, AmCham has donated over 2.400.000CZK and has assisted in providing sixteen schools throughout the Czech Republic with language laboratories.

AmCham would like to say a special thank you to all Silent Auction donors and bidders, as well as those who individuals and corporate tables who made donations to “One World, Many Voices”.
