Ronald A. Adams of Tatra elected to serve as a new president of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic

„AmCham plans for 2010-2011 membership year are clear. The public procurement reform endorsed by the political and business community needs to be passed by parliament. We will also help prepare the code of behavior for companies engaged in public procurement,” said Ronald A. Adams. „Other priorities are: labor code modernization, long-term stable tax policy, a research development that measurably and significantly advances science and a tourism policy that concentrates on online promotion and annual international events,” added Adams.

The Executive Committee of the AmCham Board of Directors consists of the following people:
• Zdeněk Vilímek of Coca-Cola Northern Central Europe as Vice-president for advocacy;
• Michal Chour of Radisson Blu Alcron Hotel as Vice-president for organizational excellence;
• Jan Brázda of Constellation as Vice-president for networking and
• František Dostálek of KPMG CR as Vice-president for finance.

Jiri Pavlicek of Johnson & Johnson will head the AmCham’s newly formed Leadership Council, which oversees the organization’s Truth and Trust activities. These activities aim to raise the level of trust within the business community and between the business community and other parts of society. Pavlicek will be inviting other members of the business and academic communities to join him on the Council.

Ronald A. Adams orchestrated the acquisition of Tatra from the Czech Government in 2001 and subsequently in 2006 purchased 92% of TATRA with a group of 3 partners.  Since then, he has been Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of TATRA. He graduated from Texas Christian University, where he performed post-graduate studies. He possesses over thirty years of corporate finance and manufacturing experience.
