The budget of the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure (SFDI), which mainly finances construction and repair of roads and railways, will increase by CZK 14 billion y/y to CZK 86.3 billion next year (CZK 65.5 billion given by the state, CZK 20.8 billion from the European funds).

The Ministry was unable to meet requirements of the regions, when setting up the budget, but wants to create a system to ensure financing of second and third class roads of four billion crowns a year. On October 17 the Minister Dan Ťok announced that in the first quarter of next year the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Finance will jointly submit a proposal on securing four billion crowns for maintenance of second and third class roads. "In the first quarter, Alena Schillerová will try to identify an unspent spendings in all resorts and we will look for the money," the Minister said.

A Director of the SFDI Zbyněk Hořelica will come and talk to us about the 2019 budget on infrastructure and a Ministry prospect for 2020-2021. Please come and join us!
