What
What is the future of Prague? Amcham will use the event of our General Assembly to continue its advocacy that Prague should rise on the talents of people to become, as in the days of Charles IV and Rudolf II, the crucible for Europe's biggest ideas and inventions.
The new Institute of Robotics- driven by Certicon's Vladimir Mařík- is an example of that future. Built beside the ČVUT campus, the institute represents what can happen when public money, university-developed knowledge, and commercial ambition are combined effectively.
Members will have a chance to hear Professor Mařík describe what the Institute will do and how his company, Certicon, will be involved. Joining him to discuss the Institute will be Engelbert Hetzmannseder, the managing director of the Eaton European Engineering Center, and Chad Brown, a US researcher working at the Institute.
Before these three share how the institute will attract international talent and companies, members will hear from the building's architect, who will detail plans to develop a complex of research buildings encircling one end of ČVUT's Prague 6 campus. This development is one of AmCham's Projects for Prague: developments we believe will accelerate Prague's rise as one of the top places to live and work and create in the world.
