Lately, member companies have provided us with two suggestions to change the Commercial Code. One recommendation dealt with abolishing the ban on chaining of s.r.o.s, the other proposed to apply a statutory body’s responsibility in case a (member of) statutory body executes concurrently also a managerial position in the company. AmCham has invited JUDr. Bohumil Havel, an author of the draft new Commercial Code to discuss these two and possibly other suggestions. As the new Commercial Code, if passed, will come in force not earlier than in 2010, Amcham would like to propose an amendment to the current Commercial Code to the Ministry of Justice. The roundtable takes place on April 8, 9 - 11 am at the AmCham offices and is held in Czech.
