KDU-CSL has been a kingmaker of Czech politics. Its ability to slide right and left has allowed it to be in every government, save one, since 1992. Since Cyril Svoboda has taken over as chair, KDU-CSL has sided with CSSD on social legislation, and vowed to fight corruption. Does KDU-CSL believe that higher taxes will create economic growth and stable public finance? And, after two decades of being in power, is it really serious about corruption?
