What

IT spending varies from 3% to 40% of all company costs depending on different industry segments. Due to high complexity of IT technologies it is more than difficult to decide about right IT investments, planned IT budgets or manage operating costs. Capabilities for precise and structured monitoring of IT budget utilization are far from being perfect, often showing inaccuracy or unavailability of solid controlling data. Although most of companies can feel an importance of IT financial management discipline, their level of maturity in this area is very different. Suitable solutions are based on daily enforcing of right controlling discipline, following well-tried best practices, and newly also on specialized software tools that allow end-to-end management of the value chain across: - Evidence of direct and indirect costs of IT services - Project management and analysis of IT portfolio - Strategic management of long-term programs HP Financial Management is a new technology, SW based tool for strategic decision making support that provides aggregate information for top management about risks, running and planned projects, available resources, financial analyses, and relations between projects and strategic company initiatives.
