Regular meeting of HR Committee members followed by a facilitated discussion, this month on Remote Work.

In addition to our regular introductions and future event conversation, we'll have a facilitated discussion on 'Remote Work (aka Home Office). Gone are the days when 'working' necessarily means 'going to the office 9-5'. With the right tools, we can virtually work anywhere, at any time. What does this mean for organizations and for the people who work for them? If you've got direct experience, either as an employer that allows it or as a remote worker with this relatively new phenomenon, we'd love to have you join this discussion.

We'll be looking at many aspects of this change, including

  • What's the impact on productivity?
  • Is it harder to measure?
  • What about customer-facing roles?
  • How do you deal with security issues?
  • What are the advantages and drawbacks to remote work?
