Refine your English telephone conferencing skills. Get useful tips how to improve your ability to understand other participants in a telephone conference, to express your opinion, and to sound natural and cultivated at the same time. Join us and get to know Anne Harttree, a first-class instructor and experienced coach who has personally moderated countless conference calls during her career in management positions with major multinational corporations. Target Group: The seminar is designed for all of you who have English proficiency at the Intermediate (B1) level or higher and work in a position that involves: - leading/moderating English conference calls, - taking part in English conference calls. Content: During the seminar, you will fine-tune comprehension skills and expand your vocabulary in the following areas: - beginning/end of a conference call, - directing the course of a call toward a desired goal, - resolving problems during a call, - intervening in a polite manner, expressing an opinion, - intercultural telephone communication, - real-life tips - how to understand as much as possible, - real-life tips - how to take notes fast and efficiently. The seminar will have the form of a workshop. Emphasis will be put on exercises during which students will practice phrases and expressions through simulated parts of teleconferences, discussions, and sharing experiences with other participants and the instructor. Anne Harttree - Soft skills trainer, executive coach (USA) Anne has earned an MEd degree in education at the University of Oklahoma. She has gained teaching experience at all levels of the education system, including several universities, where she prepared and lead training projects in the areas of business and human resources. In addition, Anne has extensive experience in business and consulting. She has worked in consulting and management positions for such companies as Showtime Networks, PricewaterhouseCoopers Unifi Network, National Westminster Bank, RCI, and Qualex. In February 2008, Anne moved to Prague to work here as a trainer and coach.
