What

American Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic in cooperation with project LiStOVáNí invite you to the theatre show ECONOMICS OF GOOD AND EVIL held in English based on the book of Tomáš Sedláček. The event is open to the public and you are welcome to register also your colleagues, families and friends. Tomas Sedlacek has shaken the study of economics as few ever have. Named one of the "Young Guns" and one of the "five hot minds in economics" by the Yale Economic Review, he serves on the National Economic Council in Prague, where his provocative writing has achieved bestseller status. How has he done it? By arguing a simple, almost heretical proposition: economics is ultimately about good and evil. Sedlacek´s tour through economic thinking, ranging from The Epic of Gilgamesh to the consumerism in Fight Club, was published in English by Oxford University Press this spring with a foreword by Vaclav Havel. Translations to Chinese, German and Polish will follow shortly. The Economics of Good and Evil has also been adapted as a theater piece within a project of LiStOVáNí - a series of scenic readings which turn unique books into a multi-sense experience. The show has had over 70 repeats in various theaters of Czech and Slovak Republic and sold out The National Theater in Prague. An international tour, featuring Tomas Sedlacek on stage, was launched in 2011 in English. Schedule: 19.30-19.45: registration, welcome drink 19.45-20.45: theatre show, discussion with Tomáš Sedláček 20.45-22.00: cocktail
