What

AmCham Labor Code and Tax specialists as well as business community representatives are invited to a brainstorming session on concurrence of employment contract and performance of function of members of statutory bodies. The event will be held in Czech. The Supreme Court has ruled repeatedly in the past that an employment contract with a person who is, at the same time, a statutory body or a member of a statutory body is invalid when activities performed by the employee are identical with the functions of a statutory body performed under the Commercial Code. The recent Supreme Administrative Court's ruling indirectly endorsed this fact and pointed to the issue of consequences of the concurrence of employment and performance of the functions of statutory bodies in the area of taxes and social security.
