Business Visa Program
AmCham provides a program designed to facilitate business travel to the USA (B-1 Visa) in co-operation with the US Embassy.
Who can apply
- Employees of AmCham member companies and their immediate families.
- Employees must have specific business activities in the United States which have been approved by the leading representative of the company in the Czech Republic.
How the process works
In case you have a biometric passport
- United States (U.S.) visa policy permits citizens of certain countries to travel to the U.S. without a visa, when they meet certain requirements, under U.S. laws, via VISA WAIVER PROGRAM / ESTA REGISTRATION.
- Travelers have to complete an online DS 160 form (https://ceac.state.gov/GENNIV/ ).
- The application is sent automatically, via the web, to the U.S. Embassy. The system also enables the upload of an applicant’s photo.
After the application is completed, only a single confirmation page is printed. If the form is not filled out correctly, the Consular Staff at the U.S. Embassy will contact the applicant prior to their appointment. This will ensure that an applicant need only travel to the Embassy once (to schedule an appointment at the US Embassy, please click here.

In case you do not have a biometric passport:
Each week, the AmCham will collect the visa application documents of 30 applicants. AmCham will be responsible for delivering application documents to the US Embassy prior to the interview.
The AmCham will process 30 requests per week. A request can either be for an individual business traveller or for a business traveller and his/her family. Accompanying family members can apply for regular tourist visas and, if applying, must be present at the interview.
Application requests will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Every applicant, regardless of age, must have his or her own application. Every applicant over 14 must appear in person at the US Embassy.
What documents are required:
- Letter from HR Department, listing employee’s name, date of birth, nationality and passport number, start date, current position, net salary, nature of work contract, assurance of continued employment with the firm, and statement if company will be assuming all expenses of trip.

Applicants have to take their passport and the original fee receipts to the interview!!!
