HR Committee chairperson early elections_nomination period

Starting January 2013 – AmCham HR Committee will be run by newly elected chaiman/chairwoman.
Current chairwoman Monika LeMoine is leaving the country.


Starting October 29,2012 until November 9, 2012 nominations are open:

  • an individual, employee of AmCham member company can be nominated by other member or can nominate himself/herself;
  • nominations can be sent to Renata Paceltova at lvrbova@amcham.cz
  • nominees are requested to provide their ideas for running and development of the committee (approx. 200 words).

IT committee members will meet on November 19, 2012 at 3.30pm.

Areas to be discussed:

Outcome from the workshop on Marketing of Consultancy Companies held on October 23, 2012

Professional consultancy services face certain specifics like strictly regulated environment and conservative approach. Attendees of the workshop discussed Market Environment and its regulation, Differet types of approaches: Brand vs. Brains vs. Brand&Brains, Different access channels and Marketing plan and budget. These topics were followed by real life examples of workshop´s drivers: Margareta Křížová of CEAG and Helena Liška of Mazars.

Minutes from Marketing Committee meeting held on October 23, 2012

AmCham Marketing Committee met to discuss and plan upcoming activites. The meeting was mostly focused on brainstorming of new topics for 2013.

Proposals mentioned as possible topics for 2013 which are supposed to be discussed closer:

  • Storytelling
  • Video as a phenomenon
  • Marketing on new smart media devices
  • New business models on online media
  • Real customer protection in on-line environment
  • Reputation protection
    etc.

Real Estate Committee minutes from Oct 17

AmCham Real Estate Committee met to discuss and plan upcoming activities and new issues. New issues for 2013 are:

  1. How to make Czech Republic attractive enough as a destination? - How government can improve conditions?
  2. New Civil Code (issues of Lease Agreements, Purchase Agreements, RE Security) - We work on putting together the list of issues that are uncertain regarding these topics - if there are any on your sice please let us know!
  3. Discussion with Deputy Minister Miroslav Kalous on the analysis of "Digitalizace územního řízení)
