Organization excellence / Leadership council
The Leadership Council is a top level forum for debating how business impacts the wider community. It oversees our Truth and Trust activities as well as our CSR activities. The Council is composed of top business and academic figures, who are appointed by the AmCham Board of Directors.
Truth & Trust
The project on Truth & Trust was launched at the beginning of 2011 and focus on politics, business, culture and education. Through this project AmCham opens a discussion on the importance of the truth and trust in the society and to increase the awareness about these values among politicians, businessmen and the public.
Part of Truth & Trust project is dedicated to university students and elementary schools. This part of the project is run in cooperation with Junior Achievement.
AmCham and its members have experience in business, but are aware of that the nature of today's leaders was formed long time ago during their childhood - and largely at elementary schools. To help future generations to accept these values as their own and to be excellent in their career not only in terms of business results, but also in terms of moral, we approach directors of elementary schools to prepare the project that will be easy to understand and applicable by all schools which will be interested.
One part of the project is about interviewing people to answer the question:
“Have you ever faced the situation (in your work/personal life), which could be called ethical dilemma? If so, what was going on and how did you deal with the situation? What did this particular solution bring you in the long term and how do you evaluate your decision from today´s perspective?”
Videos of people from business answering those questions can be watched on AmCham YouTube profile here: http://www.youtube.com/user/CZAmCham?ob=0&feature=results_main.
