Attached find results of surveys made by PCB sent by Jade Sebek. 3. Cooperation with AmCham members from marketing sector on creation of new slogan of marketing campaign. Jade Sebek will send brief proposal and Sanjiv Suri will contact members with the bid proposal. The deadline for sending it out is October 3rd. 4. The White Paper is a governmental strategic document that is to be finalized and submitted to the government by December as a base for the reform. The focus of the document, as the focus of the reform, is financing of universities. If it is passed by the government, the general principles and a paragraphed version of the relevant acts and amendments will be drafted by a joint efforts of Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. Committee on Moravia will be composed of business leaders who are located in the region and who have a good contact network in the business, political and academic communities. The role of this committee will be to gather and compare notes on economic developments, and set priorities for building the physical and human resource infrastructure in the region. We will then work on those priorities with local, regional and national governments. Agenda for the meeting: As part of our annual Thanksgiving Ball, members and guests of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic contributes money through a silent auction to benefit worthy causes. We devote these funds to providing elementary schools throughout the country with language laboratories so that schoolchildren are better prepared for the European and global environment in which they will spend their working lives. This project is called One World, Many Voices, The funds are usually spent on purchasing a library of books and electronic equipment including computers and software to facilitate the learning of foreign languages. This year, all donations made during the Silent Auction will help to provide students in Ostrava with the equipment they need to build a solid base for their future. At our meeting, we will discuss which schools from the list we got from the City of Ostrava should get the money.

Second meeting of newly set up Tourism Committee. Results of Tourism Committee meeting which was held on June 11th, 2008: 1. Attendees agreed Committee should be a new platform for sharing ideas and setting goals and achieving them: please send me your ideas and goals till Tuesday 19th, 12:00 p.m. if you have not done so already. 2. Co-operation with Delta Airlines – thanks to Mr. Schenk it will be possible to put AmCham promotional materials on the Delta Air Lines board (starting with the CR 2008 brochure on August 1st, tourist guide with offers from AmCham members could follow) 3. Co-operation with AmChams in EU and USA – to use their membership networks, agreements with them have to be confirmed to start cooperation, ask them for best practices in tourism sector 4. To use contacts AmCham has for finding out planned congresses and events 5. To invite Jade Sebek of Czechtourism or somebody from the City of Prague for next meeting – please send me your ideas who you think would be useful to invite 6. Committee members will meet regularly every third Wednesday of month, 10:00-11:30. Site visit at Foxconn in Kutná Hora and Chateau Roztez and Casa Serena Golf Course visit

The visit will start at Chateau Roztez where Jim Chang, Managing Director of FOXCONN CZ s.r.o. and Maureen Chang, founding Managing Director of Casa Serena will brief about the Chateau and company. After Chateau, we will go see Casa Serena Golf Course. That by itself would be a show on how a private investment by Foxconn chairman is working to help preserve Czech heritage, and to help promote sports in this country. After this we will go to the factory (Foxconn´s new second campus) which takes place in Kutna Hora. Although it will still be some construction there, certain part is already in operations. We will have the opportunity to see how a new factory is putting together.
