The goal of the meeting is to discuss member comments on the draft amendment to the Labor Code prepared by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. The Amendment (see in the attachment) revises many elements of the Code including employees’ appointment and dismissal, their trial period, fixed term contracts, working time, as well as the roles and competencies of the employees’ representatives. We would like to ask members to provide us their comments (in Czech language) in writing before the session by August 25. Based on the conclusions of the discussion, the AmCham Position Paper on Labor Code will be finalized and used for advocacy activities throughout the further legislative process.
