AWARDS FOR THE HILTON PRAGUE

Hilton Prague has been voted as the 2nd Best Oversees Conference Hotel in a recent reader poll by the prestigious Conference & Incentive Travel Magazine (UK).

The Conference & Incentive Travel Awards are the pre-eminent awards in business travel.

This award follows the one Hilton Prague received in October, when it was voted as the winner of the 14th World Travel Awards - Czech Republic's Leading Hotel in 2007. The annual World Travel Awards are considered to be one of the most comprehensive and most prestigious awards events in the global travel industry today and are referred to by the Wall Street Journal as the "Travel industry's equivalent to the Oscars".

“I am very proud of this result. It is a great reward for our efforts to keep delivering high quality and consistent guest service and proves our strong position on the market”, says Michael Specking, General Manager of the Hilton Prague.

Hilton Prague is the largest upscale hotel in Central & Eastern Europe, with 788 rooms and a Congress Center capable of hosting up to 3000 delegates.

Since 2004, Hilton Prague is undergoing a modernisation process with a total investment of over EUR 50 mil. The major part involves the room renovation with a total investment of EUR 21 mil. To date some 75% of all guest rooms have been completely renovated. The room renovation is expected to be completed in March 2008.

5 new meeting rooms with a total area of 120 square meters opened in September 2007. They feature daylight and their total capacity is 130 delegates.

Other of the renovation projects focuses on the hotel arrival experience. EUR 500.000 is spent on the landscape design of the entrance area, with added greenery and new trees, to be completed by the end of 2007.

Another exciting project which started in October 2007 is the construction of the sky bar Cloud 9 on the roof top, boasting a magnificent view, exquisite design, service and entertainment concept. The bar and opened terrace on the 9th floor with a capacity of 200 guests will become an upmarket venue targeting not only hotel guests but also wider Prague audience. The opening is foreseen for June 2008.

Construction of a 1.500 square meter Conference Center with a ballroom and adjucent breakout rooms is in the pipeline, too. This should help the Hilton Prague hold larger meetings and conferences for up to 4,500 delegates as of 2009.
