Policy update on public procurement reform

For the first time, a government of the Czech Republic has explicitly included public procurement reform as a major chapter of its program. Experts of the three parties negotiating a coalition agreement have proposed some strong first steps. Although they have not fulfilled the pre-election commitment by ODS and TOP 09 for comprehensive reform so far, these are steps in the right direction.

Ronald A. Adams of Tatra elected to serve as a new president of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic

During the annual General Assembly held on June 10, 2010, Ronald A. Adams, CEO of Tatra, was elected to serve as a new President of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic (AmCham). Adams, who served as first vice-president last year, will replace Ales Bartunek of IBM, who served two years as president.

Nejlepší spolupráce roku 2009 / The best cooperation of the year 2009

The project is organized by AmCham CR and AFI (Association for Foreign Investment). Its purpose is to to reward and support cooperation between universities and the application sphere of research and development leading to innovation. Deadline for sending the application is on June 30.
