2013 Board of Directors Elections: Candidates Profiles & Voting Information
The Board of Directors consists of 17 member representatives elected by the membership. Directors serve two-year terms with no limit on the number of terms served.
AmCham members should receive either 5 (Corporate Patron, Corporate) or 2 (Small Business / Entrepreneur) ballots by registered mail between May 20-21, 2013. If you don´t receive the appropriate number of ballots, please contact Lucie Vrbova at lvrbova@amcham.cz.

AmCham at the European Helicopter Show
Thanks to DSA invitation AmCham presents its mission and members at the European Helicopter Show at Hradec Králové from May 9th to May 11th. Innovation and business of AmCham members is represented by example of GE H80 airplane engine manufactured in the Czech Republic. Survey Request: Competitiveness of Czech Economic Policy 2013
The AmCham is conducting its 2013 Survey on the Competitiveness of Czech Economic Policy. This survey intends to identify competitive advantages and disadvantages and will be used to craft a set of economic priorities to be presented to the government. It will be compared with the outcome of the 2009 and 2011 survey, as well as the results from three other CE countries- Croatia, Romania, and Slovenia- which are joining the report this year.
We would greatly appreciate if you would 1) complete the survey as soon as possible and 2) asking business partners to also complete it. The deadline for completing the survey is May 10.

2013 AmCham Board of Directors Elections - Nomination Period (April 19 - May 3)
AmCham opens nomination period for 2013 Board of Directors Elections. Representative of a member company in good standing can nominate himself/herself or another representative of a member company in a good standing.
Nominations are supposed to be sent between April 19 and May 3, 2013 to Weston Stacey at wstacey@amcham.cz and to Lucie Vrbová at lvrbova@amcham.cz in a copy.
All nominations must be written on company´s letter head.

Opening the grant competition One World, Many Voices
AmCham is opening a new call for projects that can obtain a grant from AmCham program One World, Many Voices. Thanks to many chamber members, that supported the program by purchasing a corporate table at the Thanksgiving Ball or participating in the Silent Auction, in 2013 we will allocate CZK 537,000 to community projects realized by pupils or students. Main objective of this program is increasing civic participation and involvement in local communities.
